Prepared Childbirth Classes

FREE of charge for Moms delivering at the
Granite Falls Hospital.

Classes will be held from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the
Hospital Board Room.

• Session 1: Feb. 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th
• Session 2: April 30th, May 7th, 14th, and 21st
• Session 3: Aug. 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th
• Session 4: Nov. 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th

The last class in each session will include
infant/child CPR certification.

Additional sessions can be added as needed

Welcoming a new baby is a unique and fulfilling experience. There is so much to share ... the anticipation, the excitement, the joy of bringing a new life into the world.

atmosphere. With many births per year, our staff is experienced in assisting families with a positive birth experience. The physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists are certified by the Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) program. Lab, radiology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy and surgery are nearby for almost any OB need.

Features of the OB department includes:

• Emphasis on the mother's comfort during labor and delivery
• Homelike surroundings
• Birthing beds
• Nurse with each mom to follow progress and assist the physician
• Fathers are encouraged to be a part of the birthing experience, including cesarean births
• Education is provided to help with questions or problems
• Complimentary private candlelight dinner for new parents
• Expectant Parent classes offered throughout the year
• Maternal/Newborn home care offered to each new mom
• Safety of newborns is a top priority
• Rooming-in encouraged

Father's, siblings and grandparents may visit at any time. Friends and relatives are asked to visit between 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Moms can also decide which visitors may be present when the newborn is in the room.
