The Granite Falls Municipal Hospital surgery staff provides service 24 hours a day, seven days a week in both acute care and same day surgery settings, to patients of all ages ranging from infants to the geriatric population. Surgery staff includes Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA's), circulating registered nurses and surgical technicians.

Surgical services are provided by our local doctors as well as several outreach physicians who visit our hospital providing ENT, ophthalmology, gastroenterology as well as general surgical services.

Eleazar P. Briones, MD
General Surgery

Dr. Eleazar Briones is a general surgeon who provides services to us on a weekly basis. Originally based in Montevideo, Dr. Briones performs services in other cities around the area. His special interests include laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy and abdominal surgery.

Mark L. Satz, MD
Otolaryngology (ENT)

Otolaryngology (ENT) specialty services are provided to us by Dr. Mark Satz from Park Nicollet Clinic in St. Louis Park. Dr. Satz has special interests in pediatric and adult diseases of the middle ear and mastoid, chronic sinus disease and head and neck cancer problems.

Jeffrey P. Zervas, MD
Ophthalmology

Dr. Jeffrey Zervas provides ophthalmology services to the Granite Falls Municipal Hospital and Manor on a monthly basis including cataract removal with implants and YAG laser procedures. Ophthalmology is the medical specialty concerned with the eye, its diseases and refractive errors.
