The Respiratory Therapy Department at the Granite Falls Municipal Hospital offers the following services for both inpatients and outpatients:

impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries.
At the Granite Falls Municipal Hospital and Manor, we provide physical therapy services to inpatients, outpatients, home care patients and Manor residents. We also provide physical therapy services to the Clarkfield Care Center residents. The goal of our department is to relieve pain and discomfort, promote healing, regain movement and function to the involved body part using current physical therapy techniques. Physical therapy is a process that involves the patient/resident, primary care provider, physical therapist and physical therapist assistant to gain optimal return to previous functional levels.

The Respiratory Therapy Department has certified respiratory care practitioners who are registered through the state of Minnesota. They provide service within the hospital from 7 am to 4 pm seven days a week, with on-call service 24 hours a day.

Speech Therapy is available to homecare clients, Manor Residents, outpatients and hospital inpatients. We evaluate and treat speech, language and swallowing disorders. Some common reasons for needing speech therapy as an adult include brain injury, CVA, Parkinson's disease, pneumonia and other neurological conditions. Children need therapy for articulation disorders, language disorders, feeding difficulties, autism, stuttering and other disorders.
